Balancing the Bridal Party

We often get the question: "How do we create balance with the bridal party?" Meaning, are you required to have an equal number of guys and girls.  The answer is no and the photo below supports the answer.

Our couple A + B had 13 groomsmen and a maid of honor! Early in the planning process, we made  a pre-ceremony visit to the church with the bride, sketched the layout and then came up with the ideal positioning on the altar.  Father Frank was gracious and very accommodating about having the bridal party positioned in a "u" formation.  

The bridal party opted to remain standing for the entire ceremony and it was a stunning visual in this incredibly gorgeous sanctuary!  When it was time for the recessional, they went out two by two, with grace and ease. 

Creating balance can be easy when you understand the space that you have to work with and are not binding yourself to pre-conceived notions about what it has to be.
